Running for the Future
of Our Young People

I gave up a well-paid career because a single night volunteering in South London changed everything. Now I'm running 26.2 miles to make sure more young people get the support they deserve.

A good salary wasn't enough.
I needed a reason to get up.

Running the 2026 TCS London Marathon for UK Youth

For a few years I worked in cyber security. The pay was good, the career was stable — on paper, everything was going well. But something was missing. I couldn't see who I was helping or why any of it mattered.

Then in 2023 I started volunteering at Inspire Walworth Youth Club in South London. And everything changed.

"I watched a young person walk into that youth club defensive, closed off — and leave two hours later laughing with people they'd just met. That was the moment I knew I had to do this properly."

I handed in my notice and joined Avon Tyrrell in the New Forest as an Outdoor Learning Instructor — part of the UK Youth network. I see every day what happens when young people are given space, belief, and support. It changes them in ways that are impossible to miss.

That's why I'm running the 2026 TCS London Marathon. Running has always been a personal goal — but doing it for UK Youth gives every early morning run, every long mile, every blister a meaning beyond myself. I want every step to count for a young person who deserves more than the system currently gives them.

I can't do it alone. But with your support, we can go further — together.

26.2 miles. One cause.
Every step counts.
